    Fan and PSU gel sound deadners, anygood?

    I'm building PC's and was wonder if it was worthwhile to use these 'gel items' for sound deadning, do they work or are they just a gimmick? Vantec make them as well as other brands.

    I suspect they're pretty much a gimmick but I don't have any evidence either way. I reckon you'd make things quieter by taking off / cutting out any fan grills. Worth a go if they're that cheap though.

    Dont waste your money.
    Only good to stop large vibration between a fan and your case (like having a 80mm Delta screemer in there)
