    Question Best 2 x 512 RAM for SS51G?

    I am after two 512 sticks of RAM for my Shuttle SS51G (I think it's version 2.0 as it's got hyperthreading on the box).

    I normally buy from Crucial as the RAM selector gubbins makes it easy as pie, but I think I won't a change.

    I went on the shuttle site and found that this is the RAM they say is compatable with the SS51G:

    2 x 184-Pin DIMM-Socket
    for up to 2 GB DDR SDRAM capacity with 2,5V
    PC2700 (DDR333), PC2100 (DDR266) or PC1600 (DDR200)
    with sizes of 64, 128, 256, 512 and 1024 MB.

    I've heard a lot of good things about Corsair and was wondering if it was worth the extra money? Something like..

    CorsairĀ® 512MB XMS 2700 DDR 333MHz with Heat Spreader (CMX512-2700C2) --> From microdirect.co.uk

    Pretty much the limit of my RAM knowledge is that the higher the number the faster it goes. I've got no idea about timings etc so PLEASE enlighten me! If it helps 2.8 P4 Northwood 533 FSB.

    To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
