More Shuttle brutality... I riced it up some more...

Had nothing else to do last Sunday afternoon. Boredom, powertools, some spare allen bolts and an old can of matt black are a deadly combination...

My crappy camera doesn't really do it justice. Should look better when my cold cathodes arrive from casetech in a day or two. Getting some red ones for a red'n'black Doom3 kinda feel.

Jumbo fan hanging off the back is a YS Tech running at 5V, ever so slightly quieter than the stock Sunon at min speed, but I've got some watercooling bits heading my way from dtekcustoms in the states, so silence will soon be golden...

Peaks at about 40 degrees under load...
    All effort is useless

Argh! You're all stealth fanatics I see!

The drive never bothered me, so until now I never even considered its "awful biege" -ness.

Tonight I add some red cathodes. I might see about some front panel work too. I'm sure that old can of matt black had some left in it...

    With the cathodes:

They actually look much brighter, but I coldn't be bothered fudging it in the GIMP.

Front panel aesthetics are about to change radically, but I dont want to spoil the suprise...

Pump, rad, and block shipped from LA Friday, so should be here this week, USPS permitting.

I'll post the finished article when it's done.
