    New abit socketA mobo

    http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/...es=1&model=205

Didnt know this existed. The only differences seem to be layout and the adition of gigabit lan, probably loads of other stuff too... lets hope its good for overclocking - mainly ram fed off 5v instead of 3.3 and other things that the nf7-s was missing...

it has the new 400Gb southbridge so has the SATA on chip rather than running via PCI & nVidia firewall (there is also the NF7-S2 without Gb LAN & firewall).
Oh, there are no BIOS options for CAS2.0 or multiplier adjustment at the moment
    Also no IEE1394 afaik.

I didn't think abit were making any new nvidia boards after they had their little bust up a few months ago.
Must say it does look like a bit of a lemon at the moment, seems to be lacking quite a few features.

It's a shame there's no Soundstorm on the new southbridges- although having said that I've had an 8RDA+ for six months and never got round to using six channel sound, so I don't know why I'm moaning.

nvidia firewall? whats that then? a hardware firewall built into the lan controler? could prove quite usefull....

think Ill stay with my nf7-s and nf7 (that I just bought ) for a while.
