Epson printers

Hey guys, I've just hit the buffers with a C44 printer: cleaned the ink waste pads & now find I can't reset the counter & the thing won't accept anything until it's reset. There is a download for Windows,but I use a Mac. I've also got an R285 which will presumably do the same thing in due course,, as Epson say it is their policy not to allow access to the reset codes except through their dealers & they charge more to reset than the cost of a new printer. Any guidance?

i am an epson engineer and you will need a windows pc to use the epson tool.

the ssc utility you can download should do the job.

you must know someone with a windows pc. if not treat yourself to a new one as it will cost less (as you know)

if its under warranty epson will swap it for a graded unit or replace the pads and reset it

Hi GoNzO, many thanks for the reply. I have done as you suggested, using a PC laptop, & the printer is now fully functional.
