EK supreme HF mounting on Phenom x6

I have just bought a Supreme HF, and have heard that you can get better performance depending on how you mount it, and by that I mean the direction the micro channels are, rather than the mounting pressure as I know with that the higher the better.

Should I mount it with the channels vertical or horizontal? the phenom die is very rectangular and is longer horizontally than vertically when in the socket, so my thought is that having the HF mounted vertically would still cover the whole die area and mean that the water has a smaller amount of time over the die, whereas having it horizontal would mean that some of the micro channels wouldn't be covering the die, but those that are would have a longer path over it.

I just mounted mine as per the destructions.

I don't think the orientation of the block on the cpu matters.

What does matter is that you get the inlet and outlets the right way round as internally the waterflow in the block is directional according to EK. I've never tried it the wrong way thoug so can't vouch if it does actually affect temps!!
