    BIOS Features

iwas wondering what what APIC Mode and PCI/VGA Palette Snoop were for...

APIC Mode (located in Advanced BIOS Features) when enabled makes the running OS seem to run smoothly but prevents me from installing an OS.

When disabled, the running OS becomes a very jerky and stuttery affair.

I have absolutly no idea what the hell PCI/VGA Palette Snoop (found in PnP/PCI Configurations) does as when its enabled there is visible change in performance but i'd just like to what these two BIOS features do...

P.S. My mummyboard is a Asus A7NX-E Deluxe...

APIC extends the number of IRQ's available on the system.

Have a look at the BIOS options guide on http://www.rojakpot.com - it's probably got all the info you'll ever need.
    PHP Code:
