Laptop ?

Our old laptop has just finally died after many years service. I'm looking for a fairly basic machine for sofa-surfing and homework. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
Budget 300-400.

If you want a fairly basic, no frills 15.6" laptop then an Inspiron 15R N5110 from the Dell Outlet is probably your best choice. They're roughly £300 inc VAT and delivery and come with an i3 sandybridge, 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD generally at that price. You could get a slightly better one with an i5, possibly more RAM and a bigger HDD for a bit more if you keep an eye on the Dell Outlet though.

However, I'm not sure when they list their new stock so I can't advise you on when the best time to check would be.

Found a very nice 15" Inspiron. 2nd gen i3, 4gb RAM, 500Gb HDD. £309.
Quite pleased.
