Mini PCIe wireless
Hi there,
I've just bought the Maximus V GENE which has a mini PCIe slot on it. I want to fill this with a wireless card but I'm not really familiar with the area. What is currently reccomended? I heard that intel is good (?).
Unfortunately, it will be for gaming (I know, I know - I can't wire cat 5 upstairs) so I guess latency is of high importance. Also, I think I'll be needing an aerial but is the a specific sort I'll be needing?
Thanks for the help

Re: Mini PCIe wireless
Also, how does this compare to PowerLine ethernet? I've found a pair on Amazon for £40, which may end up as a similar price to the mPCIe + aerial. How does these perform in comparison with wireless? Thanks :)

Re: Mini PCIe wireless
If your only reason for going wireless is for one machine, then I'd say the PowerLine option is likely the best, just remember that the 200MB/s is the absolute optimum and that you will never get this. That being said, the PowerLine adapters will probably give you better and more stable throughput than wireless (and is easier to setup).

Re: Mini PCIe wireless
It's one desktop machine (in my sig). I have other things on wireless around the house, but this new PC is specifically for gaming.
