Upgrading this week. How much shall i sell my current things for

Here goes:
Q6600 (GO Stepping) - Comfortable and cool at <60 degrees load
Abit iX38 Quad GT M'Board - I love it, and the bells and whistle still run
4 x 1gb OCZ Platinum DDR2
EVGA GTX260 - Seems to handle things like LFD2 comfortably
Scythe Mine - (best air cooler i have EVR had)

Everyting is very looked after and 100% working and perfect.
All ideas appreciated guys.

My guestemations

Q6600 - £40-50
Abit iX38 - £30-40
4GB RAM - £20-30
GTX260 - £30-40
Cooler - £5-10

Withing the bracket move the amount around depending physical condition and whatever packagina/gumpf you have

I'd say 10-15 for the cooler, the old scythe mine is still a great cooler :) and you can still fit it on the newer sockets with the right clips (AFAIK scythe use the same clip on mounts for all their coolers)

I'd say 40-50 for the GTX260 esp if it's the 2nd version with more cores

You might be able to get more for the motherboard as the Abit iX38 wasn't a common or low end one, an x48 board would of been worth more though.

Also depends where you're selling it ;)

Ref iX38. You are right, its a great board, and was probably the highest end 775 for DDR2. I just looked on ebay and even a replacement Bios chip is >£10. That was suprising.

Not sure whether to put it in the local paper, or just go to FS here.
I will have a think, and post something up tomorrow maybe.

If it were me i would use the for sale here, always been a good experience for me... i hate resorting to things liek ebay :puke:

I wouldnt have thought the local paper would reach that many people with the knowledge to know what they are getting... or is that the point? :p

Q6600 goes for about £50/75 on eBay, so anything over £50 sounds good I guess.

I've just sold some simmiar age parts on Gumtree and Ebay:
- E8400 - £49,
- Asus P5E - £50,
- 2x Corsair XMS2 DHX DDR2 cl4 2x2GB - £40 each,
- Evga GTX9800 SC - £47.

Best way to check prices is to look in current / recently finished auctions on Ebay. Put your items on Gumtree (free), wait a week or two, then post remaning parts on Ebay.

I was posting on Gumtree for four weeks and sold MB only. On Ebay sold rest within a week.
