    Cant get to 400Mhz FSB...

Right then. Got my new rig up and running:

    NF7-S v2.0
    2x512 MB Crucial 3200
    Radeon 9800 Pro
    AMD ATHLON XP-M 2500+

Can anyone help me attain 400Mhz FSB? I am currently at 194x10 and am getting crashes at anything higher...Is there a guide as to what the softmenu 3 options should be set to? I only want to run at stock volts/FSB/multiplier to start off with...

You reckon it's the CPU and not the FSB causing instability? Maybe I should run at 200Mhx FSB on v low multiplier for a while to eliminate that?

Not sure. It's not possible to find out without rebooting is it?

set the ram to speed which will run it at 200mhz (400) DDR

then in the nf7 bios set the processor to maual try 175fsb test then 185fsb test then go for the biggy 200fsb if it no boots do the INSERT trick to reset and then in the same part of the nf7 bios make sure the voltage isnt set to AUTO, is it is unset it and raise the CPU voltage by 0.025 and so on until your able to acheive 200fsb. Once done and into your OS test for stabilty using prime.

    /edit
keep an eye on youe temps when doing this

In the bios you will have a setting to set ram speed. Its the top left option cant remember the name of it but it also allows you to change voltages in this option. Anyways when in there set ram speed to SPEED option this will run your ram at the right speed and lock it at this so theres no need to increase ram fsb alongside cpu fsb.

Hmmm, well the machine will not even get to the BIOS startup screen when running at 200x9.0...

Hmm. OK. I am now at 400 Mhz FSB

Only running 200x9.0 but I just wanted to check it was OK for the RAM to run at that speed. I've upped the voltages a little over stock.

What should I be able to expect out of the CPU?

    OK voltages are at:

    CPU: 1.75
    RAM: 2.8
    Chipset: 1.7
    AGP: 1.5

    These sound good?
