    Overclocking RAM

    I have just recieved my Vapochill PE, I have an AN7 and a 2500-M and am wondering if you guys could tell me which RAM to get to get me the best performance out of said components?

    Any help would of course be rewarded with rep points
    Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
    Enwrought with golden and silver light,
    The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
    Of night and light and the half-light,
    I would spread the cloths under your feet:
    But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
    I have spread my dreams under your feet;
    Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

    Corsair is generally regarded as a decent brand for RAM, especially when it comes to overclocking. Don't ask me about their product names though, its all a bit too much for my poor, already confused mind!

    Hmm, well cash isnt much of a problem - although as usual cheaper the better. Would like to play farcry and doom3 so imagine I will need 1gig - although if you think 512 is enough thats fine too!

    I think that 1gb would be better than 512mb, so that you future proof yourself, as well as the faster speeds in current games.

    I would go for some Hyper X if you had a few quid to spend as this is pretty nippy stuff

    Other than that depending on what speed OCZ and Corsair seem to be pretty good also and not worth passing on.

    Would there be any point in terms of OCing on a socket A in getting higher then 3200 RAM maybe 4000 or 4400?

    That depends on how high you can take your FSB... If you wish to run it at a 1 to 1 ratio... You'll need to match it with your OC'ed FSB!

    I'd love to help you on that.. but I'm an intel fan... like on my sig! I got a FSB of 1000 Mhz! So I need to reach 500Mhz a pice... Right now I'm at a raitio of 2-3... or was it 3-2... any way,

    http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-454&depa=1

    The timings are more relaxed but the speed makes up for it! Thats what I need! And I have a P4! your fsb wont go anyware near that! but you dont have to keep the ratio at 1-1...

    I dont think its POSSIBLE to get 1000 mhz fsb yet, and if you did, you would have to have a 3.75* multiplier to get the speeds you have listed in ur sig..

    P4 3.0GHz @ 3759.6GHz, @ 1002.6MHz FSB
