    linux and overclocking

So I've got a shuttle SB61G2v3 with a p4 2.4b GHz. I am wondering if there are any programs out there for Linux that would show cpu info (besides /proc/cpuinfo) and maybe allow me to overclock it. I tried running cpu-z with cedega (winex4.0) but it didn't really pick up a whole lot of info as opposed to running it in windows. I went in the BIOS and bumped up the CPU Clock from 133mhz to 150mhz and it now shows 2706.205mhz in /proc/cpuinfo and a bit more bogomips. Is this the right thing to do to overclock the processor? I didn't touch the voltage I just left it on auto, but if it's on auto would it automatically adjust the voltage higher if the clock is 150mhz? By the way, the temperature for the processor was around 32C at idle with the stock clockrate. Now that it is 2.7ghz it idles at 34C and only goes up to 44C at high cpu usage (with the stock ICE heat-pipe)

    cpuinfo is your friend.

the gnome desktop has a tool in it (I forget the name) that does this.
    It is Inevitable.....
