Re: CM Mechanical Keyboard and Cherry BROWN Switch

I would love a mechanical keyboard myself, but have spent enough money with flipping Logitech and their G11 V2 and G15 V2.

This CM mouse which I have been looking at seems to have a lack of reviews:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coole...button-3500dpi

It would be nice if more had been sent out for review.

I am currently looking at replacements for my useless Logitech G5 mice, two of which have failed on me(both bought by me).

The best thing to do is to find somewhere local where you can try them out, PCWorld may have a Corsair board out on display you could try and see how you like them.
The reds feel very light, and took me a while to get used to coming from blues, but once I did I loved them. (I've since gone back to blues, and now am using blacks )
Sorry I should of been more specific in my question, how do they compare in terms of force? I found the blues to be very light compared to my current Logitech rubber dome keyboard, I just wonder if reds will be too light for me and I should choose black instead, although a lot of people say blacks are too fatiguing. I definitely would like to get a linear switch though.

Blues will feel a little heavier than reds.
If you find blues light, then don't go reds, I currently use blacks and after a couple of days of getting used to them, I don't find them tiring or heavy at all, in fact I'm thinking of modding them to get them heavier since I'm still accidentally pressing half of the keys on my keyboard

Re: CM Mechanical Keyboard and Cherry BROWN Switch

I've been hoping that the Quickfire Rapid would come with Red or Brown keys in a UK layout for quite some time now and so I'm pretty pleased to find this thread and hear that it may actually be happening!

Is there any news on when it may be happening?

Re: CM Mechanical Keyboard and Cherry BROWN Switch

Is there anywhere that I could actually test these mechanical keyboards? Whilst I'm happy with my scissor switch keyboard (Logitech Illuminated Keyboard) I am still curious because at the end of the day, my keyboard's just simply a membrane keyboard.

I could order the keyboards and return under DSR, but I hate doing something like that. Are there any retailers or something where I would be able to test them?

i went in PC world yesterday and tried a razer mechanical as the arrow keys are exposed in the box, way to loud if the wife was asleep in the next room. will have to hope razer release the stealth with a UK layout

Reds actually seem to be the cheapest and blacks the most expensive. In terms of the actual switches as opposed to the keyboard as a whole.

Are the keyboards out on the floor or would I need to ask about them?

I`d like to see how black and reds and even blues feel
