Mach I insulation
I got my Mach I yesterday (thanks chiyau;)) and I have fitted it onto the bottom of my case and now I have come to the inevitable question.
How do I insulate it well.
I bought my Mach I off chiyau and he gave me some silicone grease and 2 rolls of seal string. I know I have to stop condensation forming around the socket but I don't really know how, will I just have to cover round the socket with seal string or have I gotta go and order some more seal string (I dont have much, some fairly short rolls, which are quite thin anyway) and neoprene.
I have also been reading this guide but it has kinda confused me.
Many thanks

You just need plenty of seal string round the front and rear of the socket, with the mach 1's you dont need silicone grese (well I never used any and never had probs)
I always used a lot more seal string that nessasary just to be safe, when you clamp the whole thing down the string will compress a lot and fill any gaps.

I hear what you are saying, so you mean I will just pile up seal string around the mounting brackets on the front and back, and make sure it all stays?
I'm pretty much new to extreme cooling so I don't want to fry my brand new IC7 Max3, I got it the same day as my Mach I!

Any way of turning a Mach I on without turning your hardware on?
I know the Mach I holds down the reset switch but I wanna do a condensation test to make sure.

Just short the 2 pins on the PSU, black and green I think to turn on the PSU without a mobo that should do it.
