    which upgrade

hello u all, i have a amd xp 2000, in a qdi kt 333 mobo. with a radeon 9700np. I´ve upgraded my psu to a q-tec 550w, which works fine.... i´m thinkin as suggested here before tha crash, of upgrading my mobo to asus a7n deluxe, because it has agp 8x and all that..... what do u guys think?? is it still a good model, will it work ok with my xp 2000?, which i will upgrade later....
any opinion on which mobo/processor and memory( currently 266mhz) would be deeply appreciated....

You shouldn't need an upgrade but if you were going for one I could only recomend the Abit NF7-S v2.0

This is one sweet board and it does what you ask it

I'd save the money and buy something stomping when the hammers etc. come out. Anything you can buy now isn't that much of a step above your existing rig.

try tweaking the extra performance out of ur gfx card, if its a sapphire or other unlocked one its easy. using omega based 3.6 cats are best, imo and ome with some useful clocking apps.
my sapphire 9700np is running at 360core, 313.50/627 on mem compleatly stable

There isn't really a big difference in performance of 4x and 8x agp to warrant the purchase of a new mobo.

I'd say stick with what you got and wait till something new comes out (Athlon 64 )
    Acer Travelmate 8104WMLi

it might be worth the extra money to sell ur 2000+ and get a 1700+, probly second hand as over-clock.co.uk and cpucity are out of the good ones, htis is what i did, from 1728mhz to 2205 but its not noticale outside games, atall, exept for some things.
