It seems my Logitech G5 has started to be affected by the cable problem which many users have experienced(random disconnections and freezes). This is my second G5 - with the first one the plastic mechanism holding the scroll wheel cracked! The current one is the second example I had bought and these issues started happening a few months after a year of usage. Hence,I doubt I can get a warranty replacement. The worst thing is that Logitech have not commented on this issue even though it is a well known fault.
I am a bit peed off TBH,as I expected them to last longer and the build quality seems shoddy compared to the MouseMan and MX1000 which I had before. This is the first time that any mouse I have had has given me issues.
Hence,I do need a replacement for around £30(or less). I would ideally like a weight system(or at least some weight) and need a corded laser mouse with backward and forward buttons. Ideally I would like some non-Logitech options and one which at least will last two years.
Of course I could try repairing the mouse or merging the two G5s together. It would after all cost me nothing which would be ideal ATM.
