CPU Fan Recommendations

Can any of you guys rocommend me a CPU fan for my AMD 2800+, please?

another vote for thermalright, altho they are a bit steep they keep temps down, and they can take 92mm fans for extra quietness

I would recomend the SP-97 and a Thermaltake UFO fan.

The thermaltake ufo fan is awsome, at full itll cool like a vantec tornado, when turned down, quiet as a mouse The only problem is getting the UFO to fit on the SP-97.... its a big challenge, but worth it

yeah id agree with all teh comments aforementintioned the slk900a looks class, but for those on a budget, the volcano 11+, coems with the thermaltake smart fan two, and a very nice heratsink, it keeps my temps waaaaaaay down, but if uve got the cash to spend go with the oother guys suggestions

If you've got the money , Thermalright.
If you don't but want performance not far off for a lot less TT Volcano 12.

I'd recommend a Thermaltake Volcano 12. It's fairly cheap, and cools extremely well. It also has a very handy speed control, so that you can turn it up in games (where you can't hear it anyway because of the games) and other stressful tasks, and turn it down when doing simple things like surfing the internet. Highly recommended!

I totaly agree Thermalright will do the job very nicly, best to get one that attachs through the mobo mounting holes for extra stablilty / pressure.
Another alternative would be Swiftech / Alpha.

ive got a Thermalright SLK-800A and its very good. I use a fan on it which pushes 51cfm at 34db. Its fairly noisy but keeps my temps down to 49C Full Load and thats in a sauna of a case.

i have one of these on my 2500 (@2.2ghz), and it's running at 52 celcius at the moment. admittedly it's very hot in this room, but 52 with nothing particularly strenuous going on (~5-10% cpu usage) strikes me as a bit hot

I have a Scythe Samurai, quiet and performs well, but a bit pricey - the thermaltake as suggested would be cheaper.
