    New computer rig baffling problems

I have a photo studio in a log cabin in my garden and I am trying to build a rig to output to a monitor and projector easy enough to do you would think.
I bought a Radeon HD5850 Black edition graphics card off ebay and while this card works fine in the two systems I have in the house a G41 775 and P35 775 systems. I bought a G620 1155 cpu for the new rig and an asus H61 motherboard, the card is not seen in the bios, I thought the motherboard was faulty so I RMA'd to ebuyer only to get it back again no fault found. I had an old 8800 nvidia card put that in the H61 board and it works no problem.
I also have an asus P8P67Pro board put that in place of the H61 board and again the 5850 is not seen in the bios and I get 3 beeps no vga card
I then put an old ATi X1950 card in the P8P67 pro board and that works fine.
I have tried my 5870 in the H61 board and that didn't work either but works fine in my P35 775 Q6600 system, what is it about the 5800 series cards?
I am at a loss to know why this is happening
    any help greatly received

    David

PCI-E version problems? Update the BIOS. Also check power supply/connections.

The 5870 needs 2x6 pins, are you connecting them both?

What does the table on the side of the PSU show? Primarily interesting in the amperage/wattage listed under 12V rails, but there might be a maximum combined rail load as well. If in doubt, just write out the whole table.
