    Cheapest Gaming laptop?

The girlfriend needs a new laptop, and has no real budget in mind. I am interested in having it passable as a gaming laptop for steam powered games (namely team fortress 2) for when we are away from home.

I dont want her to spend much more then £350 so i am curious to see if anyone has any recommendations?

Alternatively, a reasonable laptop for basic browsing & word processing and the occasional HD films for as cheap as is reasonable?

    Cheers guys

    Re: Cheapest Gaming laptop?

I would wait and see if any more examples of this laptop are listed by the seller:

You do need your own copy of Windows.

Here is a Hexus thread on the laptop:

    Re: Cheapest Gaming laptop?

Oh wow, they were amazing deals! Will have to hold out and see if they come up again.

Suddenly the possibility of my girlfriend's ''teacher'' laptop smashing my dell studio 1749 (''gaming'' laptop) on all fronts is a very real possibility!

    Re: Cheapest Gaming laptop?

btw the toshiba laptop you mentioned in OP is available £10 cheaper from laptops direct including delivery:

I know ebay is generally fine but it always makes me uneasy buying from it and their prices can often be beat elsewhere.

    Re: Cheapest Gaming laptop?

Damn, well they are out of stock and don't expect to get any more in any time soon so i can write off that cracking deal!

If anyone can recommend the next best 17" laptop with a strong graphics card for the budget I would be grateful. Having seen that laptop deal i now would like a reasonable graphics chipset.

I will post up the ones I find when I get home, they are bookmarked there!
