So... I was dead on buying a Noctua NH-D14 for my next build along with a 3570k, I will be overlocking to the max at around 4.2Ghz since this is my first time, and I dont wanna ruin my expensive chip, but then some of my friends were saying that a D14 is way overkill for clocks I wanted to achieve and that I should be looking at something cheaper like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and spend the remainder on my graphics card or something, I snooped around Google and some of the answers were mixed, some were saying that the Hyper 212 is the best value for money and some say that its not good enough to cool high overlocks. So I thought I would ask around here since I trust the answers you guys can give me the most. For any extra information, I will be trying to overclock using offset voltages since it puts less strain on the CPU (apparently) and would only up the volts when needed, although if it seems to hard, since this is my first time OCing, I might go the easy way and just up the multiplier and voltages. Oh, I'm also using a Gigabyte Z77x UD3H, I wouldve gone with MSI, but their BIOS doesnt support offsets, sadly. Thanks.
