can a WOL magic packet get stuck ?

woke up this morning to find the pc had turned itself on about 10 mins after i shutdown and went to bed, turned it off and double checked it was all off, then again a few minutes later it turned on again, it did this 3 times.

now i do have it set to wake on magic packet so i can power up via the laptop, the laptop was off at the time but i do wonder if the router could keep sending the packet around the network for hours after the laptop sent a packet and got shut down. ?

i do have DD-WRT on my 2nd router thats acting as a switch but the WOL daemons turned off.

I have rebooted both routers now and so far (10 mins) its not done it but i wont hold my breath!
