I have started my postgrad course and i find that during the lectures I need a computing device of some sort to type notes and look at pdf files.
I currently have an iPad 2 with a keyboard and that is doing me well, until i stated 3 modules all requiring me to use a good spreadsheet program, basically excel.
Would it be viable to buy an extreme cheap netbook, load it with an SSD and have office on that? I have read that even with an SSD upgrade the processors that come with them would be huge bottlenecks. I would need this netbook to be fairly fast. I wont be loading any other programs except for Office and maybe AVG, as i have my desktop at home for main use, this is just for in uni and on the go use.
Also does anyone have any other recommendations?
