    Best 256gb SSD?

Hi guys, with a new laptop I am looking to move the 1tb 5400rom hard drive I to the secondry space and use 256gb SSD for the OS and my games. I'd then use the 1tb drive for films, music, backs up etc.

I am on a tightish budget, but what would people recommend?

Is noe the time to buy one? I was going to hold off for a bit, but with the recent news of Toshiba reducing the output of chips, I imagine prices will start to rise. Is it worth buying now or in a couple of months?

    Cheers guys

The cheapest out of the Crucial M4 or the Samsung 830.

SSD prices have been reasonably stable the last few weeks and no one expects a big drop just yet (more so with the news you just pointed out).

    Re: Best 256gb SSD?

I reckon now is as good a time as any to buy. I saw the Toshiba news yesterday and that encouraged me to finally upgrade my RAM to 8GB. Even if the prices remain stagnant still, I think the chance of them going down now that supply is being cut back a bit is very slim.

As for which SSD, I can only echo what Agent advised.

Another vote for the M4, I got one from Amazon this week, was £141 before they put the price back up
