Was looking @ the Shuttle site... and saw this baby!!!

It looks much better than the SN85G4V2, which i was saving up for....

Was just wondering if it is out yet as i haven't seen any where you can buy one from?



Been having a brief look on the forums and people were saying 3 new shuttles are coming out some time this month?

Also is it really worth waiting for PCI Express?

I had a quick look on www.microdirect.co.uk, as they seem to stock tons of Shuttle stuff, but they don't have it yet. I have to agree with you, it looks a very nice system. I've always fancied a Shuttle, but never really liked the look of the front of them. This new system, however, looks nice. Mind you, I bet it costs a bomb! :-)

No. 8xAGP is hardly being used, so 16xPCIe becoming an issue is waaay off. Still, if you were looking to build your system in, say, 3 months time - when the availability of PCIe versions of current cards will be better - there would be no specific reason not to go that route. Just don't pay any extra for it, that's all.

A little bit off topic but don't buy stuff from Microdirect, I had a bad experience with them where I bought a Shuttle RefleXion edition and first one arrived and was DOA, asked if I could send it back they didn't reply, then another one arrived at my door, it worked but they wouldn't reply to fax or e-mail and the guy on the phone was a good.
Just lettin ya know

Agree with ya tho that the new Shuttle does look nice, glad to see they cater towards the power user now, how I have wanted a shuttle to do on the fly copying or leave 2 disks in seperate drives and not have to change so often!

Have seen the Shuttle SB83G5 P4, which is out of stock but can not see any where, where they sell the black 64 AMD version????

I guess it's not on sale yet?

The SN95G5 will be released in the Uk at the end of this month, if
nothing unexpected should happen. A roughly price would be 315 without
taxes, but this can also change into a lower or higher level.

And alos was shocked @ the price of the cheapest AMD 64 CPU

Cheapest i saw it was £240???

Where did you see that chip for £220???

erm can't remember which place it was, did look at costs of building one of these up with full top rate kit and then decided wasn't best off to do this at the moment.

I'm in a rush at the moment if i get chance tomorrow i shall have a look for you.

My A64 3000+ (not XP ) does 2.56GHz from its stock 2GHz! Damn good if you ask me for the £130 I paid for it
