    Can I OC it

    hi i have a spare pentium 2 base sittin round and wonder if i could overclock it for a bit of learning it has 256 mg ram and a 350mhhz cpu anyone help me out and tell me a program that would help me do it .

    No program is going to help you to overclock it, just go into bios and up the multipler or front side bus speed, a p2 should be fairly similar in overclocking to anything you see nowadays.

    you may be able to reach the next multipler up.. so make it a 400mhz, machine, but i doubt the memory will be up for much in terms of FSB increase.

    P2s are multiplier locked. The likelihood is that you'll have to adjust some jumpers on the board to increase the FSB, although check the bios first obviously. Thing is though, the 350 is the first of the P2s to have a 100MHz FSB, so unless you've got a good motherboard and PC133 RAM, you may have limited success ramping it up.
