Any views on a few items Im buying?

Just recived a Barton XP2500 + Asus A7N8X-E deluxe and a lad in work has agreed to buy my system off me, so I will need some new parts, and currently going with:

    Scan 550W 3XS Meridian

    Sold him my WD 120gb ( 8mb ) so I will buy a new 200gb WD ( 8mb )

ThermalRight SP-97, if anyone has a link with some in stock ?!? Also need a fan to go on it, needs to be a middle ground for noise/power.

NEC ND3500 16x DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter, many places have it for £65

Need some advise on a +-£130 gfx, will be used for picture editing and gaming.

He's having my turtle beach santa cruz ( sonic fury ) as I take it the mobo has good enough on board sound?

The rest of the parts I have.

For that budget, I think the 9800 Pro would be perfect. It can play almost all games out now at max details, and should last a while if you don't mind turning down the graphics a few notches in the future.

Dont know abt the Scan PSU, but for the same amount of money, u can get the CWT 550W PSU (same as antec, seeing as CWT manafacture Antec PSUs), which might be a better investment.

Also, for £130 .. cant go better than a 9800Pro. The lowestonweb is a Connect3d one, and the one I ordered last week turned out to be an R360 core with Hynix Ram. Sitting in my system at the moment flashed to an XT and clocked to 450/360.

Afaik that Scan PSU is the CWT just under the Meridian brand name. Very good PSU's by all means.

also forgot to mention, that the board does have onboard soundstorm on it, so pretty decent sound (meaning u wont have to buy a new card)
