Sounds like a lot of faff when you can buy a decent laptop that is dead easy to transport and will last you several years

I know what you're saying, and in almost every thread on Hexus where someone's asked about gaming laptops I've advised them to get a desktop instead - but I think this is one situation where investing £600 in a decent laptop is the right decision. Particularly given the spec of some of the those Medions

    This might do the job:

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/acer...gb-max-1305492

It has an AMD A6 and an HD7670M 1GB and yet costs around £320. AFAIK,both the HD6520G IGP and HD7670M can run in Crossfire when running BF3.

If your there for a year, personally I would save the £600 and use a bit of the cash to package my PC and have it sent over to France.

Would you like to explain why? Your opinions will be far more valuable to posters if you justify why you think something. Without that, some people might think you are just posting spam
