Not sure if you're willing to build yourself though but yeah the above would be a good starting point
Should I start calling you Major Moose now ?
If I was sure I could sit on my arse for more than 5 seconds then that build would probably suit my fine , Im not sure about the PSU though isnt '£142.oo a bit overkill ?
Also I have this coolermaster midtower case , which is kinda restrictive for fans. ( 120mm ) maybe I might be as well trying to sell that .

Not sure if that's a compliment?
And that is £142 for a case & psu! Although you could reduce it further if necessary
And do you have any HDDs or optical drives that you could reuse?
If its just the health fact, why not ask for a local hexite who wouldn't mind helping on the project?
There are some really great community members on here, and CAT.

I came up with the following parts from Scan.
It should be around £450 if you include free postage from Scan. The system will be able to run a pair of graphics card fine. If you want to overclock you need to add a better cooler and an SSD might be a nice addition too.
However,if you are not overclocking I would get the following:

Interesting , so the turbo boost in the xeon would allow me some leyway with dynamic overclocking too , but not as good I take it , as the alternative?
What about the 120 mm fan case though, you think I should stick with it , or try getting a biggercase so I have more space ,fan options for future upgrades or overclocking ?

The Xeon E3 1230 V2 will have a semi-locked multiplier unlike the Core i5 3570K meaning very limited overclocking capability in comparison. However, the Xeon E3 does have 8MB of L3 cache and HT,which might help with some games in the future. However,an overclocked Core i5 3570K would still be faster. IB runs hot if you push the overclock so I would advice you get a decent enough cooler.
The older case you have would be OK if you were not overclocking and I am not sure how long a graphics card it will take.
A newer case would be easier to build into, have better cooling, and more space.
Yes, I remember the dilema I had over cases last year ..
In general I quite like Coolermaster but havent really looked yet .
I did see this however that quite liked the sound / look of.
what do you think ? ( never heard of the make myself )
