Price check Dell Latitude e6400
As im looking to buy a new laptop I was wondering if any of you guys had an idea as to how much I could get for my current Dell latitude e6400 with the following spec:
P8600 CPU
4GB DDR2 Ram
80GB 5k HDD(I think)
DVD RW drive
14" 1280x800 display
2x 6cell batteries , the original with < 80% capacity and a newish genuine one at 100% capacity i.e no wear.
Its not in the best condition but its what id call OK, not great but certainly not horrible, the main thing is that there are two lines with paint fading as Dell seem to have made a design flaw with excluding a few rubber pads to stop it rubbing against it. Im hoping I can get a fair bit for it as it all works apart from the touch pad is a bit flaky, its always been the case and is a known issue with this series (poor drivers or something), ive had the pad replace twice and no improvement but it works 70% of the time however I tend to just use the built in BT for my wireless mouse as that works flawlessly.
Any suggestions? Be nice to use it to take a big chunk out of my new laptops price :D.
Re: Price check Dell Latitude e6400
Hmmm, £150, maybe?
Big question is which chipset is it? If it's G965/X3100 then I don't think it'll get as good a price as the later G45/X4500 laptops. 80GB HDD is a bit of a sticky as well. That said, slap an SSD in it and it'd still fly for a general use laptop - it's just there's a lot of new laptops with Sandy Bridge pentiums in the £300ish price bracket that's going to limit what you can ask for it, as they're significantly faster. Also how flaky is the touchpad, as that could be an issue for potential buyers.

cheers I was thinking £100 - £150 so glad to see another opinion :D, i think its the x4500 but its still a pretty poor gpu regardless, I dont think i managed to get a single game at a playable fps! However for work like word and web browsing its a solid one that I cant fault as I like the keyboard as well :).
Shame I dont know anyone who needs a laptop atm, think ill be taking it into a cash converters or putting on ebay soon, again thanks for the response.
