    Current overclocker champ?

Having not paid much attention since I last built my PC (less than a year ago), I have been a bit out of the loop..

So whats the current choice when it comes to price/overclocked performance? On air cooling that is (although I am sure that extends even further for those with water/phase cooling ).

The 1700+/2500+ reigned supreme on the AMD camp when I built my PC, with the 2.4Ghz P4 clocking to insane (~3.6Ghz?) speed on the Intel camp..

My next purchase would be on a CPU on a 939 socket platform.. but are there any interesting chip right now on that platform?

I am kinda surprised that the price doesn't seem to have changed much since then.. My Barton 2500+ doesn't seem to have been devalued much at all, and there doesn't seem to be an A64 that cost what I paid for my Barton yet..
(In fact, I think that the mobile version of the 2500+ is more expensive than what I paid for my Barton... Although I assume it'll clock higher).

People have been claiming 2.6 ghz out of the 2500-M on Air cooling, so no doubt it is the best overclocking chip / Price (around £60 - £70).

Mad... Doubt that my RAM can handle that though

Kinda funny that after all this time (well, its not that long but still a while), the best OCer is still the same thing in a different form..

Ah well, 2.3Ghz will just have to do for me
(Managed to get my regular 2500+ to 2.4Ghz on 3DMarks, but it doesn't like Prime.. And just to be safe all year long, I decided to just leave it at 2.3)
