    Question Age old thermal paste question

    About to replace my Heatsink, I have Arctic Silver 5, I have Arctic Ceramique..but which one to use?

    Using AS5, a Zalman HSF and air-cooling, my A64 3500+ is running at 35C during normal windows usage, so I'm happy enough with it

    Iirc ceramique performs slightly lower than AS5 but its safer to use since it does not conduct electricity. I use a massive tube of industrial thermal paste. Always have. Have had it for about a year now and have only used half a syringe

    AS5, I removed my stock HS, but I put it back on after I got my new mobo. I simply aplied som AS5 ontop of that old grey intel crap and it worked fine! I know I should have cleaned it first but I was too lazy! lol
