Proliant ML110 G7 - Help.
Hi,
I have the above and yesterday finally got round to cloning the Hard Drive onto a Samsung 830 SSD. I have put the SSD beneath the DVD drive on the same SATA controller as it as I would like to use the original boot drive caddy for an extra 3tb HD.
Can I get the BIOS to boot from it instead of the Seagate? No.
I have been into the BIOS and it will only boot from Drive C (the Seagate), the DVD-Drive, Network or USB.
Where can I change Drive C to whatever drive the Samsung is?
Please help.

Does it appear in disk boot order? If not, the PC isn't seeing it.
If it does show up, you probably need to mark the primary partition as active/bootable.....you can do it from disk management.

if the BIOS is anything like the G6 (and in fact G5 iirc) you'll need to specify "hard disk" in the boot order, then specify the order of hard disks separately.

I'm putting my money on it being this.
If you're struggling with the BIOS, a brute force way of testing is to unplug other drives for a quick test.
