    Portable speaker(s) ?

    Having visited Stepson #1 in University he really needs a little speaker(s) to plug into his laptop so that he can watch DVDs with his mates.
    I'd like them to be USB powered or similar so that there's no charging or batteries to replace, just plug and go. Obviously cheap and/or rugged is good too as it probably get treated poorly in the student lifestyle.

    Can anyone recommend anything ?

    Check out the reviews on many sites - they are very good for what they are.

    I have a pair for a laptop and I'm happy with them. Not seen anything else close for a tenner
