Yup, think of all the years of practise you have through school etc *learning* to use whichever hand to write etc
It's certainly possible to train yourself to use whichever hand you like, you can even get pretty good with your feet if you give it long enough

Well i would like to thank the creator of this thread as i have ordered this mouse i RMAed my microsoft explore mouse as for some reason it jumped alot nor sure why but the crap optical mouse that came with my MS cordless optical 3.0 (comfort edition) works fine. But the explore jumped alot when set using the wireless controller. Oh well the MX1000 will be alot better in every way

I heard it's 1 in 7 people are left handed, and that it tends to be females that are left handed.
getting back on topic I know someone who tests alot of hardware and he picked up a MX1000 on Friday, took it back to the shop Sunday (USA) he said the driverswere well iffy and the control on the mouse wasjust far too difficult,the sensitivity was far worse that the likes of the MX700, he said the movement was tiny to make a large movement.
I think it might be worth waiting to see what Logitech do with the driver issue....

Isn't it a bit overkill though? I mean, I own the MX510 which is the best wired optical mouse out, and I don't have ANY accuracy problems with it, so why would they need to replace LED's with lasers??
Just seems like a waste of money IMHO.

They changed to lasers because people think ahh it has a laser it must be better.

I read they were revealing a new line of keyboards next week. Microsoft are to I beleive. New mice might also be available.

Laser sencing mayne abit over kill but it's the wireless bandwith i am intrested in, aparently it's 2.5x faster then standard IR mice
