Asus Xonar DG Interference
So, picked up a new set of headphones for Skype and gaming for when everyone else is asleep, and was recommended to get a sound card with a headphone amplifier on it as well. Got the Asus Xonar DG, and as soon as I plugged it in started to get interference from the front panel mic. Any idea how to fix this? I've played around with all of the settings in the control center, its either switch it off entirely or have the problems, neither of which is ideal. Wasnt getting interference from the onboard, so I'm guessing poor grounding somewhere, all I know is I've got a headache from spending 4 hrs trying to fix it...
Re: Asus Xonar DG Interference
Are you only getting interferance when you plug your headphones into your front panel mic? If so most cases have unshielded cables running to the front audio ports so you can try plugging your headphones into the back of your DG and seeing if thats better. If your getting interferance from the back of the DG as well then try moving it to a different slot seeing if that helps.
Re: Asus Xonar DG Interference
Yeah just plug everything (including mic) into the back of the Asus, I presume it's got the same switching capabilities as my Asus so you don't need to plug things in and out, just leave them plugged in and use the Asus software to switch between them as needed.
Re: Asus Xonar DG Interference
The headphones are working fine on the back panel only, Ill have to see about getting some shielded front panel cables >< Cheers Guys
