SilentX 300W - your views

I'm thinking of ordering this tonight, what do you all think of them?

I'm looking for something as silent as it can get without costing too much (Fanless would be too much)

I can find it for £60 at Kustom, any better prices would be appreciated

im guessing most people need a heftier psu than a 300w - but if quiet is what you want then it should be good. theres a 400w+ passive psu if you wanted total silence though...

Not looking to spend the sort of money they want for fanless ones plus i don't have that much cooling in my pc anyway

There is a 400w version of the psu but i don't need that much

I guess nobody has anything bad to say about them though

nope, read one for the older 200W version tho, and apprently its damn good, comes bundled with new shuttles now i think as its so quiet

This is SilenX - not to be confused with shuttles SilentX PSU.

Personally i dont like SilenX. Itll be good and quiet, but theres better out there *cough*Tagan*cough*

Ok, i know the Tagen is meant to be better and can be had as a 380W but it's going to be noisier

having just installed my tagan last week i can say that they are whisper quiet. i cant hear mine at all. unless you are passivly cooling everything else then i doubt you will hear it under normal conditions. may hear it during intensive tasks but otherwise the thing is almost silent.
