    seems ok...

perhaps get a DVD writer instead of the cd writer as its not much more...

and is 36gig harddrive really enough, also get a 160 gig hitachi 7k250 ?

not sure how your budget works out but if too much maybe drop down to the athlon 64 3000 ?

some german bits i don't get but...

for a dvd writer get something like the NEC 2510a / 3500 ...

if u can afford it go for the 939 pin setup as its more future proof.... but obviously more expensive...

if those are 2 separate quotes i'd go forthe first one, 256 ram is nowhere near enough nowadays..

oh what is hte pc going to be used for ? gaming ?

Not sure why you'd want XMS4000 for an AMD rig, they are for Intel rigs that need high FSB's but timings don't matter.

Pick yourself up some BH-5 chips if you can, they'll run at much tighter timings giving you better performance.

Thanks for the reply gus. Its actuall 2x256MB PC400. XMS3200. OS is gonna be either XP 64bit BETA or Server 2003. Just for gaming, and maybe some small FTP on LANs and stuff like that.

    -Cheers

PS: Will be a Enermax 400 Watt which i already own.

Here goes a new list for my english readers ;-)

    Bezeichnung
1x Gehäuse Chieftec Dragon Midi Black USB
1x CDWriter IDE SONY 52/32/52 black intern bulk
    1x HITACHI ATBUS 120 GB 8MB SATA 7200
    1x AMD Athlon64 XP3500+ Socket A/939 box
    1x MB ASUS A8V Deluxe 939 ATX <--rev 2.0??
    2x DDRAM 256MB CORSAIR XMS 3200 CL2

My Distributor doesnt have NEC. But i never burn CDs anyways and dont use MP3s either...so i think the Sony will be fine.

yup, make sure that you get the rev. 2.0 of the A8V

If you want gaming I would recommend looking at 2x512Mb as games like Far Cry will use over 512Mb if you have it & play better.
