Why is my subconcious planning a THIRD PC?

Why is it happening.....again?

I have a 2800 on an nForce 2 with 1 gig. and SCSI stuff. and an AOpen SFF too.

But I have spare SCSI stuff. And a spare PSU. And have just ordered a spare mouse and keyboard that I dont need.

I have a Rad9000 in my SFF, but dont need it in there, cos the onboard is ok.

I find myself with a spare Duron 1gig....

so that leaves a case, a mobo and some memory...or the simple fact that I lust after an AMD 64...which would leave me with all this stuff spare.

Any idea why I am doing this?

I've just built a system I didn't really need either. Need to sell the other stuff though to accomodate it.

Am abou to downgrade/upgrade to a SFF and then flog all the spare kit i have laying around here.

It needs to be sold on, theres £250+ of spare kit laying round here and i could do with the money.

I have one PC which gets upgraded. I don't need two workstations. I just have my server, PC my dad uses, Media PC and Ipaq

Well, I've just upgraded and I've got a spare CPU, graphics card, motherboard, RAM, 11g wireless LAN card and PSU.

I could flog it, but I'm lazy. I'll probably just buy a cheap case, slot in an old HD and CD drive and then try and think of what to use it for. With the wireless card, I might just whack it in a cupboard and use it as a download box. Bit of a waste of a GF4 Ti4600 though.

Need comes second to want, when you've got no will-power like me.

ironically, while I aint never been involved in such things, it was while reading the SETI threads that I realised I might have a hankering for such things

Don't we all. I have my shuttle, a little Iwill with an old p4 in, one of the original tablets by acer, an old 333 celeron gathering dust and the wife lappy, which I have persuaded her to upgrade to one of those lovely sony ones with the xblack screen thingy! I also have my ipaq in my pocket at the moment! I love technology.

I have no use for a second computer ATM, but I want to break into the top 200 on Find-A-Drug so sooner or later my current comp will be getting a little dual-athlon companion under the desk.

Same with me, most of my friends are gagging to play anything (UT etc) so I end up letting all my mates use my pcs.

I have already planned my 3rd workstation which is the only one I will use for "work" the other 2 rigs will just be dedicated LAN rigs.

Well, I have nothing better to spend my money on!
