    Question vCore / vChipset questions....

    Hi,

when overclocking, upping vcore (also voltage of CPU ) and vchipset...

which one effects which, FSB and multiple or do they both need to be increased ?

say if i only up the FSB ( or in the athlon 64 case, the HTT ) do i just need to up the cpu voltage and can leave the vchipset alone ?

    Hope that makes sence !

    thanks

You may need to up both the cpu and the memory, depending on its rating as you up the FSB.

    Vcore is the cpu voltage.
    Vdd is the chipset voltage.
Vdimm is the mem voltage (also Vtt/Vref, which should be half of vdimm - the dont track on msot mobos if vdimm is raised too high).

Vcore will only affect overclocking the cpu, in that if the fsb was kept constant, and only the cpu speed was changed (by multiplyer) then thats all it would do.

Vdd and vdimm/vtt affect the memory and stuff relating to that. It can be hard to tell which needs adjusting.
