Best DVD drive for ripping audio CDs
im building a new pc that will have on-board SATA (currently using IDE) and looking to purchase a DVD drive. i want it to be a good drive for ripping audio CDs. one of my current DVD drives has a feature named "C2 error info" which i believe helps in audio ripping as the extractor does not have to read the data twice. on my short list i have:
LG GH24NS90.AUAA50B 24x SATA Bare Internal DVD Rewriter - Black
any suggestions? i read that pioneer are good drives?

This forum is worth looking at:
http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/forumdis...p-AccurateRip&
It is the official forum for dBpoweramp.
This thread lists the most accurate drives:

It seems many of the older drives are better for ripping CDs it seems.
Edit!!
I would look at this forum:

The problem is that DVD drive reviews are not common, and many of the drives reviewed have been replaced. A lot of drives are actually clones of one model too.
Re: Best DVD drive for ripping audio CDs
thats true..my current sony drive is a rebadged liteon drive. i even updated the firmware with liteon firmware so its now listed as a liteon drive in device manager.
thanks for the links, will check them out.
