Swapping Laptop RAM into Desktop RAM???

Basically, Im getting new RAM for my laptop, but they are different sizes (physically)to my desktop. I was hoping to stick my old laptop ram into my desktop because they are both pc2700 speeds.

but considereing they r different sizes, this might not work no?
