Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2

My Logitech Mouseman Optical is an alright mouse, but it's ****e for games. Twitches all over the place.

I was looking at this:

And it looks good. I couldn't really go back to wired, and the MX700 is too expensive, so this is the only other decent option.

Does anyone have this mouse or have you used it? Is it any good for games?

I use one for work, (which usually entails lunchtime Serious Sam or UT 2003)
Good quality solidly built accurate mouse with no lag & much smoothness. Well worth the money imo Howard matey.

imo wireless mice are a bit crap if you are gaming, because the last thing you want is it 2 die in the middle of a game, most (even maybe all proper gaming mice) are wire mice because they're the best

im using a MS Intellimouse 4.0 atm with an icemat 2nd edition and its perfect for gaming, and dont forget the pad (also known as a gaming surface) has a lot to do with the overall smoothness of the mouse, so if you dont already own one i wud suggest investing in getting a gd pad aswell, the fUnc and icemat are the best imo steelpad is also a good make.

thats the bundle i have and its ace, but might be a little expensive, but its worth it, plus the icemat is made of glass so will not bend out of shape or anything, just make sure you dont drop it

I use a Ligitech MX700 for gaming with absolutely no probs with a mx500 in the drawer for backup, but it's never been used

Never had a prob with either the MX700 or the MS wireless mouse

I already have an Icemat. Lovely pad. But it contributes a hell of a lot towards the jitter of this old Logitech wireless mouse. But even without it on a desk it's not adequate for gaming

My mate has the Icemat too with a wired Intellimouse Explorer and it's pin-sharp accurate.

So OiD (and everyone else who has the Wireless Intelli-Explorer), how does it compare to the MX700? I don't wanna buy it, only for it to be just as bad or just marginally better than my current mouse

its most likely the mouse but try cleaning the icemat with some window cleaner works well

Anyway, IMO that looks like a good mouse, but I still prefer rodents with tails.

No real diff between the Intellimouse & the MX700 gaming-wise, it's just lighter & has less buttons.
