So you want a quiet PC?

Hi,

Some of you may remember about three weeks ago I was in dire need of a silent set-up. Well I have to tell you I bought an Antec Sonata with 380W Truepower PSU and the difference is amazing!!
Not only is this set up silent but her indoors can actually go to sleep in the same room with it running!!
Well impressed !!! I can well recommend the Sonata!

Hmm... So you finally went and did it! Glad to hear you are happy with it. :-)

What CPU and cooler have you got in there? I've so many bits left over from my recent rebuild that all I need is a case and PSU, and a silent(ish) second system for upstairs is sounding (sic) very attractive. Also, where did you get it from and what was the price?

HI,

I have a 478 P4 3Ghz that is running very cool thanks to a Zalman Superflower (half copper - half aluminium).
The difference with the Sonata case is
The only noise now is the keyboard and mouse

I did go the whole hog and get the http://www.quietpc.com/uk/materials.php#antec
as well! I thought do it once and forget!!

I am now happy
I can't praise this case enough compared to the airport hanger noise I was used too !

i've got a JHUIB at 2.3 so need something loud to cool it unforunatly
