Wanted: Socket A board with S-ATA and SoundStorm

Hi,
Can someone help me out a bit with the whole Soundstorm issue. What exactly is Soundstorm, and what are the alternatives.

How good/bad is Realtek ALC650 or ALC850 or the C-Media CMI9780 AC97 8 channels audio CODEC compared to SoundStorm?

Are there any boards with both Dual-channel DDR and SoundStorm (or something just as good)?
Are there anyboards with both S-ATA and SoundStorm (or something just as good)?
Are there any boards with S-ATA and dual-channel DDR and SoundStorm (or something equivalent)?

Basically I want a board with .... everything :-)

Abit NF7-S VER 2.0 nForce2 SKT A 400DDR 8xAGP SATA Firewire 5.1 Sound

Soundstorm is a standard set by Nvidia , try looking on Google.

Yup, the NF7-S from CPUCity is what I recommend for Socket A. If you're quick, you can still get it on special offer from Scan.co.uk as well, its going fairly cheap at the moment. The only problem with the board is that you won't be able to upgrade the CPU in the future.

Abit NF7-S V2 will get the most nominations here. If you want additional gigabit Lan and not looking to overclock loads then consider the Asus A7N8X - Deluxe.

I'm using the onboard soundstorm and think it's great.

I love soundstorm!!!! It's great!

The NF7-S hae ALC650 codec its not the best but you proble wouldn't notice the difference.

The NF7-S has SoundStorm (it was certified before the A7N8X DL :)).
The A7N8X-E DeLuxe has a Realtek 650 codec too ;)
