    Webcam for video conferencing...

    Hi,
I have a MacMini running Plex connected to my living room TV. It all works great, but I'm thinking about connecting up some sort of camera so I can do Facetime/Skype/iChat with distant relatives - currently we have to huddle around a Macbook Pro, which isn't great.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a webcam with a built in mic which might be suitable? I don't mind paying a bit if it'll work well.

    Cheers...

Got one of these for my Windows box. It's just what you need, but I'm unsure of Mac Compatibility.

    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

I have a Logitech c920 pro and the wife Skypes her parents on Japan who also have the same web cam. I find the picture pretty dam good and I don't notice much delay I can't say how it compares to other hd webcams picture quality wise. However I can tell you it can do hd Skype on low powered hardware as it has onboard hardware coding for x whatever the number is.

I run it on a Lenovo q180 dual core atom no problem at all. I should give it a try on the wife's old 1.6 ghz single core atom to see how it fares buy have never got around to trying.

It also does 1080p I think.
Here is a comparison with a few video links a few posts down.
