    Do I have to pay 240 quid for a socket 939 AMD 64 ?

    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone knew if there are any plans from AMD to release a cheaper socket 939 Athlon 64 chip? 240 quid is too steep for me .
    Cheers guys.

Should be end of the year m8- just about the same time as NForce4 should be showing up. Just hang on, now is a bit of a bad time to buy.

    Rich :¬)

Edit: if the rig in your sig is accurate, I'm sure you can survive until December/January

Nowt wrong with that choice, The Hand. It's what I would get right now. I'd refuse to pay over £200 for a CPU!
