    £1000 burning in my pocket.

Got £1000 to spend on a new system, but unsure which route to take. I'm hoping for some ideas and links:

    - Case (if ATX) should be aluminium, been looking at the Coolermaster Cavalier at OCUK, not badly priced IMO. No window required.
    - Most probably socket 939, do they do a Shuttle SFF for it?
    - At least 1Gb of ram.
    - Sound is not a priority....onboard would do.
    - No need for lights, mods or watercooling.
    - If the mobo is AGP, then no graphics card required, as I have a FX5900 Ultra here. Obviously if its a SFF, then I'd probably opted for a X800.

I know there's always something new around the corner, but I'd say wait. Why? PCI Express. Although you could be waiting forever, think about how long AGP has been used in computer systems. If you wait just a bit, you'll be able to get a Socket 939 CPU and motherboard at a lower price, with a PCI Express graphics card.

If you really can't wait, then I would recommend a Socket 939 CPU, since it's fast with games, and you can upgrade the CPU in the future (whereas Socket 754 is becoming the budget socket). For the graphics card, I would recommend the Geforce 6800s over the X800s. At the moment they seem pretty close together, but the 6800 has the more advanced features on it, meaning it should run better than the X800 in the future.

Hmmmm....just what I want really. Is it noisy? (I see it comes with a SilentX PSU already).
