Second Hand Laptop Price Guide?

My friend has been offered an IBM laptop

It an ‘IMB Thinkpad X21’ and is very small! It has a docking station with a DVD drive and floppy built in, it has a P3 500mhz cpu and 383mb ram (well that’s what windows says anyhow!) there is a 20gig hd And it seems like it’s in good nick.

The price is £300 plus the VAT what do you reckon folks?

Laptops seemed to have dropped in price recently a lot. You can get brand new ones which will be much nicer then P3 500 MHz for around £500 or £600 pounds even in PC world.

yeah that was what i was thinking, it seemed a little high priced, its coming straight from IBM aswell

IBM laptops are not cheap at all ! I have thought about it and an less there is no possible way for you to spend £500 instead of £300 then a budget new laptop is the only way to go.

i bought a toshiba satellite, 550mhz celeron, 32mb ram, 24x cdrom, and a few other things into the bag not long ago for 150 quid

not sure if its a good deal or not, i got it second hand, and was quoted 45-an hour battery life, only gives me 15-20 mins tho

i know, ive got 64 megs knocking around , not sure if it works so gonna stick it in and give it a go, need to find a right sized screw driver first tho

not sure if its worth what i paid for it, it was, but the guy lied about the battery life, and he wont answer emails, etc

defo.....seems hes swindled someone out of a PSU

and then lied to me about how good the lappy it, an hour battery life, which for some reason is like 10 mins O_o
