    Abit Va 10

Is there a maximum CPU that such a motherboard can take? and what is the true speed of an Athlon XP?

    Cheers
    Rob
The older I get, the faster I was.

The VA-10 will take any socket A Athlon XP CPU upto, and including, the 'Barton' XP3000+ 333MHz version.

The XP's don't actually run at their stated speeds, it's the P4 equivalent. So the XP3000+ will run as fast as the P4 3GHz, but will actually run at 2.17GHz.
